Title
Toothbrush
Abstract/Clarity of Idea
An adventure/"shooter" game, where little children all over the world are put on a spell to 'sleep forever' as soon as the Sleep Monsters steal their toothbrushes from them. The monsters gain power as long as they have the children's toothbrushes, as that makes the children sleep forever and the amount of the children's sleeping time contributes to the energy that these monsters gain.
Abby is one of the children whose toothbrush was stolen, and therefore she fell into a deep sleep. However, she gets into a dream where she finds herself being in the monsters' world. The monsters do not know that their world is accessible to the children through dreams. Abby realizes that she could save herself and other children from the sleeping spell if she could find their toothbrush. Abby wants to wake up because she wants to go to school.
Target Audience
between 8 -15 years old
Goal/Problem Statement
What is the goal of the whole application?
Defeating procrastination.
Monsters in the game represents procrastination. Sleeping forever represents missing out on the good things in life, if we keep on procrastinating and if we don't start to do something about it. Toothbrush, represents a wake up call, something that makes us realize that we have to start to get going, on work, on life, etc. Abby represents our conscience.
2. What is the application trying to solve? (problem statement)
People procrastinate more than they should these days. Okay, people should never procrastinate, but they still do. This game hopes by using Abby as our conscience, which would normally tell us to start working on a project but then we ignore its voice and let the conscience sleep, feeding the procrastination monster in ourselves.
3. What is the advantage of VR that can be exploited to enhance project
This could be a fun/cute game, playable by anyone above 8. Children will think that it is important to wake up (also, sleep on time) and brush their teeth when they wake up in the morning. The game shows monsters as keeping them from waking up, they will see oversleeping as a bad thing. The character, Abby, who wants to wake up because she wants to go to school will show to the younger players that school is a really nice place and should be looked forward to. With these in mind, children will eventually start to realize at a very early age, than wasting time, too much sleeping, procrastinating is bad.
4. Is this project new or has it been created before? If yes, why are you doing it again?
There are many adventure games out there, but there isn't one about finding toothbrushes in order to wake up in the morning.
to give the idea that oversleeping is bad to children
for older players, to make them realize that they are feeding the monsters in themselves all these while by procrastinating

Description of the application
There are 3 levels in this game in this game. Game starts with a cut scene (or probably comic strips, explaining the story) and then some manual on the controls. Player will then proceed to play the game, and upon completing the game, it ends with a cut scene (or comic strips) showing Abby wakes up, goes to school, all happy, bla bla bla.
2. What will happen in levels
First level would be where the player needs to quietly sneak around the monsters' world, to get to her BubbleGun, which is a weapon she could use against the monsters, and the Magic Glasses, a tool to search for the hidden toothbrush.
After have finally found the BubbleGun without being noticed by the monsters, player can now proceed to roam around the world and find/collect other children's toothbrushes there. Player earn points for shooting monsters (blowing bubbles at the monsters and the monsters would be trapped in them). There will be a number of toothbrushes that player needs to find, and as long as they can't find enough toothbrushes, player does not get past level 2. There will be extra items to be picked up (milk for energy/health and candy for a short time speedy movement).
The third level will be where the player will have to keep shooting at the boss monster, who holds the last toothbrush in the monsters' world - Abby's toothbrush. The boss monster is hard to "kill" as he would be releasing 'mini monsters' to attack the player. Player would have to shoot at the mini monsters to kill them as well.
After killing the boss monster and getting the last tooth brush, the game ends. (Cut scene showing Abby waking up in the morning..or just the sun shining through the window)
3. How will users interact with the application

Interaction description
